Carmen Andrade, 25, one half of the conjoined twin sisters Carmen and Lupita, recently married her longtime partner, Daniel McCormack, 28.
The couple exchanged vows last October in an intimate ceremony at Lover’s Leap Bridge in New Milford, Connecticut, surrounded by close family. Carmen wore an emerald-green gown, while Daniel opted for a dark suit with a matching green bow tie. Reflecting on her choice not to wear white, Carmen joked, “No regrets!”
Carmen and her twin sister, Lupita, are conjoined at the torso and share a pelvis. The sisters have always been open about public curiosity and personal boundaries. Lupita, who identifies as asexual, fully supports Carmen’s relationship, clarifying she has no plans to marry.
Carmen and Daniel first connected on Hinge in 2020, bonding over a relationship where her condition was not the focus of their initial conversations. Today, the couple lives together happily, raising dogs as devoted pet parents. For medical reasons, including Carmen’s endometriosis and ongoing hormone treatments, they have decided not to have children.
Through social media, Carmen and Lupita continue to challenge misconceptions, emphasizing that their lives extend beyond their conjoined condition. As Carmen explained, “People forget we’re not just conjoined twins - we’re people.”
